Born and raised on an island in the middle of the Atlantic, my passion for sailing began at an early age. I started taking Optimist dinghy lessons at the age of seven, and soon began competing, fueling my passion and the desire to learn and improve.
When I moved on to bigger boats, I realized that I could turn this passion into a career in the boatbuilding industry. I pursued a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, gaining valuable knowledge of materials, strucutural engineering, systems and product development, and even electronics.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to always work in the boatbuilding sector. I started working as a freelancer, designing a mainsail arch for a 46ft expedition yacht. I then worked in the development and building of several boat such as sailing catamarans, electric tender boats and a carbon foiling catamaran. I was involved in the launch of YOT Power Catamarans, a new Catana Group brand, where I defined processes and set up the production line for around 100 different parts.
Now based in Sweden, I work in a high-tech company specialized in cutting-edge composites. I remain dedicated to growing my skills and to be a part of this challeging sector.
